About Dr Halliday-Bell

Work should be healthy and safe; as an Occupational Physician, I help people get back to work or find the best working arrangements for people with disabilities. I also aim to prevent work related ill health.  

 

I graduated from Leicester University as a medical doctor with an intercalated degree in Psychology. I trained  as a general practitioner and began working as an Occupational Medicine Physician in 1992. I have decades of experience in many different roles and I have enjoyed the wide variety of responsibilities and positions held. 
 

 I also hold Fellowship of the Faculty of Occupational Medicine and I have acquired a medical doctorate in occupational medicine. I had to take Asbestos Medical‘s, radiation Medicals and  fit for work Medicals. I undertake blood lead Medicals. I also do I’ll health retirement assessments assessments, fitness for confined spaces work and pre-employment medical assessments.

I began Progressive Medical Services Limited in 2016 to reach out to the wider community and support occupational health in small and medium enterprises.

​

 My hippo-therapy experience began 2019 and my professional training started in 2020. I am able to cater for hippo-therapy clients at their convenience.

What is Hippotherapy and Equine Assisted Therapy?

As various different animals have been used to assist during therapy with willing clients, horses have found to have a beneficial affects on patients, helping with a successful outcome. Originating in Germany and standardised by a team of Canadian and American therapists in the late 1980’s, the use of horses has become recognized as an extremely effective method of therapy.
