Work History

  • I am up to date and hold certificates confirming my CPD status.

  • Independent occupational physician two days per week averaging a total of fifteen hours per week

  • I undertake sickness absence medical assessments and executive medicals.

  • I carry out lead, Ionising Radiation and Asbestos medicals by the HSE. There is scope for COSHH (Control Of Substances Hazardous to Health) Medical Surveillance

  • I am an out of hours general practitioner in the West Midlands

  • I am a certified hippotherapist- I undertake this work using our well trained ponies. This is a growing endeavour.  

  • I am trained in the undertaking of Medical examinations of workers exposed to HAVS (Hand Arm Vibration Syndrome) and noise.

  • I have undertaken a full range of other Occupational Medicine work in addition to the items listed above.

  • I recently served as an honorary clinical lecturer at the University of Birmingham Institute of Occupational and Environmental Medicine (IOEM).

  • I am the Regional Specialty Advisor to the Faculty of Occupational Medicine

  • I have recently served as an officer on the council for the Section of Occupational Medicine at the Royal Society of Medicine in London.

  • Examiner for the Faculty of Occupational Medicine.
